Returns Policy

Simmons Bilt offer a full bespoke service on all our leather jackets but please keep in mind each jacket is individually handcrafted by one of our specialist artisans and leather is a natural product and can stretch during production, so whilst every effort is made to construct your jacket to your exact specifications there is a possibility there may be margin of millimeters between your given measurements and the finished product.
We will accept a return of a custom jacket if it is shown to have a defect, (natural characteristics in the leather are not classed as defects), there has been a production error or there is an unacceptable margin between the measurements provided against the finished garment measurements. (We would typically take the view that 14mm is acceptable given the traditional production techniques we employ and the raw materials used although all queries will be reviewed individually)

Zips are guaranteed for 1 year

Orders & Dispatch

Once you have placed an order, you will receive an automated email acknowledgment with a personal order number.  Please refer to this number in any correspondence regarding the order.

Items in stock will be dispatched immediately.  Items made to order will normally be dispatched within 4 weeks. This can change depending on how busy we are but we aim to ship all orders as soon as possible.  

All shipments are sent via UPS.  The UK is a next day delivery service.  Europe has a 2-5 day delivery service and outside Europe has a 4-9 day delivery service.  This will vary depending on the country in which you reside.  

Please note for customers outside the EU: Simmons Bilt Clothing Company Ltd Are not liable for any duties or customs or any parcels.  You may have to pay import duties on parcels – we are not liable for these charges and they are subject to the laws of the importing country.

2.   Prices & Payments

The price is shown on each item that you order and does not include postage.  Once you place your order and enter your Country of residence, the appropriate price of postage to your Country will then be added to the total of your order.   

NOTE ON STANDARD FIT JACKET ORDERS.

We ask for your measurements as only a guide for us to determine the closest fit for you from our sizing, we DO NOT use these measurements to adjust the pattern to custom fit the jacket for you. We can custom fit but this will incur additional charges and we would quote a price once all details have been received. 

Custom jackets will incur and extra charge for pattern work, additional raw material and labour costs. Price will be quoted prior to production.

Question. What is considered a custom jacket?

Answer. Anything that is not standard Simmons Bilt. This includes:

Change of standard measurements eg. body length, sleeve length.

Change of pocket configuration.

Non standard linings, zippers and buckles,thread.

Where incorrect measurements have been provided we are unable to accept returns. Where non-standard style requests have been made (extra pockets, pocket configuration, linings etc.) we are unable to accept as a return.

However, where possible we will do our utmost to alter any custom issues that may arise so you are happy with your purchase. (Full quotation provided before any work is carried out).

CANCELLATIONS

Once a jacket has been approved and production has started an order cannot be cancelled. 

RETURNS

If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for a full refund or exchange - this only applies to  standard fit and style jackets. 

All returns must have an authorised return form enclosed otherwise they will not be accepted.


 Custom jackets are non-returnable.

It is the customers responsibility to provide the correct measurements, we always send a final copy of your order to you for approval prior to any production starting, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY YOUR ORDER BEFORE APPROVING - NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR REFUND OR EXCHANGE FOR INCORRECT MEASUREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS BEING APPROVED.

 

Standard Simmons Bilt jackets are accepted for refund or exchange within 14 days of shipping date provided they are unworn and returned with all tags and in the condition they were received. Items with any sign of wear or tobacco smoke, perfume etc will be deemed as worn and not accepted as a return for refund or exchange. The item MUST be returned carefully packed and in ALL original packaging with original tags, Jackets returned not in original and new condition may be subject to a charge or if unsaleable as new returned back to the customer.

Any issues with custom made jackets must be reported to us within 7 days of shipping date.

Jackets MUST be authorized for return and All jackets returned must be accompanied with our returns form which we will  email to the customer to confirm return authorisation.

Non authorized jacket returns may result in extended wait periods whilst the reason for return is reviewed.

Simmons Bilt are not liable for any return postages resulting from a customer supplying incorrect information or ordering the wrong size.

All belts are custom made and once approved by the customer are non returnable

Simmons Bilt are unable to refund any postage costs for any of our Outlet jackets.

OUTLET JACKETS

Jackets appear on our outlet section for a variety of reasons such as they may be pre production samples, prototypes, show samples, trade ins, custom made returns or they may have a defect. These jacket particulars are usually detailed under the description but please feel free to ask any questions before ordering.

We do offer a 7 day returns policy on outlet jackets provided they have NOT been altered in any way at the request of the customer prior to shipping and are received in the same condition as sent with all tags and packaging intact.

If you wish to return an outlet jacket then please notify us within 7 days of receipt and we will issue a Returns form. Return requests after the 7 day period are at the companies descretion and all decisions are final.

 

IMPORTANT

All returns have to be authorised, once this has been approved please fill out the supplied returns form with all contact details and the reason for the return.

RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT AN AUTHORISED RETURNS FORM.

Please mark clearly on the outside of the parcel " Returned Goods" or taxes and duties may be applied that have already been paid.

Refunds and exchanges will only be processed once the item has been received at our premises. Please allow 7 days once we have received item.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure we receive the returned item. We suggest insuring the item you are returning as it is your property until we have received it into our premises.
