The iconic 1950's biker jacket, probably the most famous leather jacket ever and still as popular today as it ever was. First designed in 1928 and in 1953 Marlon Brando boosted it's popularity in "The Wild Ones".
Many have reproduced this iconic jacket since and there are some great interpretations out there.
The Simmons Bilt Biker jacket retains many of the original features, 3 zippered pockets, small ticket pocket, zip sleeves, inside pocket, epaulettes and bi-swing back.
The jacket pictured also features the traditional brass buckle belt, we can produce this jacket without the belt as most prefer not to have it, bikers report it scratches the tank on their bikes and for the casual wearer it can be unneccessary. We can replace with a full wrap around belt so it can be removed or replace with buckle side adjusters for those who want to pull it in tight. We are all about practicality and function so whatever your preference let us know (may incur an extra charge). Lining and zip options available. Every jacket comes with one studded inside pocket.
NOTE: We request your measurements for all our jackets so we can select the best size for you from our standard size range. Sleeve and Body length can be adjusted if required.
Due to the nature of the natural raw materials we use and the traditional method of manufacture we employ it is not always possible to meet exact measurement requirements. The products we build are not designed to be tailored like a suit, they will after a "break in" period soften and mold to the shape of your own body, our jackets are built to be worn. We do not use a production line system or have racks of jackets ready to ship, each and every jacket is made to order, individually handcrafted here in Scotland by one of our specialists.Bespoke patterns can be created if preferred, please contact us direct with specifications for a full quote.
